Both can be utilized for walking workouts, but there are key differences that give TreadClimber machines a distinct advantage. A treadmill has only one moving belt while the TreadClimber has two independent treadles. The unique motion of the treadles provides several benefits by combining the motions of a treadmill, a stepper, and an elliptical. It not only burns more calories than walking on a treadmill at the same speed, but also creates a smooth low-impact motion. As you step forward and up, the treadles rise to meet your feet with every step. This significantly reduces impact to your joints. It's the ultimate combination of calorie burn and comfort!
Please see the "Full Specs" popup on the product page of the model you're interested in (TC200, TC100).
All TreadClimber models are tested to ensure safe operation for users up to 300 lbs. The warranty does not cover use of the machine by users greater than 300 lbs.
Most people are able to assemble their TreadClimber with the assistance of the detailed assembly manual and supplemental assembly videos. However, we encourage you to take a look at the online manual (TC200, TC100) to make sure it's something you would be comfortable with. We do offer an increasingly popular in-home assembly service that you can add to your order during checkout. Please see the In-Home Assembly link on the product page (TC200, TC100) to check on pricing and availability in your area.
